Metaphysically Speaking

This blog concerns metaphysics and it's tie to our spiritual nature; not to be confused with religion, or religious groups; and there are several.

The word, "metaphysics" has become expanded on itself, engulfing more than the classic definition of the word. It is that area of philosophy that concerns itself with cosmology, ontology and spirituality.

Metaphysics strives to explain the nature of our being, within the world and outside of the physical realm, unifying everything, the seen and unseen; together as one.

When I think of metaphysics, I think of the underlying questions. What is the real nature of reality, why the universe exists and what is the objective nature, the intent of my reality?

More personal questions might be: Why are we here? Do we have a purpose in being here? What is the nature of God? Where did I come from, before I was here?

I'm a philosopher. You don't need a degree from a college to be one, but I do have one, tucked away somewhere. I can't help but ask the questions that can only be proved within myself. They are usually of the metaphysical variety, because these questions only lead to more questions, that are not easily answered and go deeper to me.

Like spirituality, metaphysics asks those questions that require having faith in the answers offered. It's your true consciousness, crying out for more than you are seeing around you. We have to rely on our instincts when receiving answers in this unseen world. That is usually why, so many disciplined personalities, within the sciences have a difficult time with metaphysics.

Yet, the metaphysical realm is here, it's there, it's everywhere. It does not rely on you or me to keep it alive, by confirming or denying it's reality. It simply is, and only waits for you to discover it, because that is the realm where your spirit lives, waiting for you.
